We’re Eric and Paula, the empty-nest couple behind In Roam Mode. We live on the East Coast of Canada, where travel has become one of the most meaningful parts of our life together.

For years, our adventures were squeezed into tight schedules and rushed itineraries. Somewhere along the way, we realized we didn’t want to simply do travel anymore — we wanted to experience it.

Being in roam mode means staying curious, taking the long way, and leaving space for surprises.

Sometimes that looks like road trips across Atlantic Canada. Sometimes it’s cruises, ferries, or international adventures. But it always starts with the same question:
